, We are fast approaching the end of our membership year. The Chairmanís Renewal letter is attached just in case you havenít received it by post. If you pay in full please can you do so before 1st October, you will then be entered into our Renewal Draw on 1st October up in the bar, you would need to be present to qualify for a significant prize. If you pay by Direct Debit you donít need to take any further action other than be up in the bar on 1st October to collect your membership card, give us some feedback and be eligible for a prize which includes a free membership for a friend and many other prizes. Squash & Racketball A revitalised junior squash programme will be out shortly as will a new beginnerís squash course led by Gayle Kerrison from the England Squash & Racketball Association. The Racketball competition is nearly completion, Steve Giddings has made it through to play Robin Chipperfield in one of the semi-finals. The other quarter finals are between John Fisher and Allan Wright and Guy Birkett verses Andrew Hepworth. Finals are on 26th September. Tennis Court 2 should be finished by Monday and ready for play on Tuesday. Court 1 has been tested by some of our Rusty Rackets players and the feedback has been extremely positive. The End of Season Tennis Awards Night is on 10th October and is for mostly team players however if you would like to be part of an exciting evening and havenít played for the teams we have space in the lounge and conservatory. Please book at reception, first come first served. Fitness There will be no Sunday morning circuits tomorrow as all of the Energize team are leading over 50 members on a walk near Lake Bala in aid of Compton Hospice. If you would like to join us please bring a fiver and either meet at the club by 7:45am or at post code LL23 7NW by 10am at the latest. Social Keep the date free Ė 19th December for the Club Christmas Party (Always oversubscribed), bookings will be open on 1st October. We have a Halloween Party suitable for adults and families on 31st October; please book at reception as soon as possible. We are also looking volunteers to help us with some traditional party games on the patio. On 26th September England play Wales in the Rugby World Cup so bring your scarves after watching the finals of the racketball competition. Lastly, On behalf of the staff and committee members we sincerely hope youíve enjoyed your membership at this special club but if you are considering not renewing please give me a call. Our membership numbers are growing each year and we have some excellent improvements planned for the coming year including replacing all of the cardio equipment in the gym and increasing your membership benefits.
