What another brilliant evening at the club, Robert Marshall would have been proud. Thank you to all the supporters and players at this year’s Carver Cup Squash Handicap Finals. The handicap committee have done an amazing job with many matches decided by just one or two points.
Tonight’s finals kicked off with a win for Mark Smith, 3-1 against Steve Pearcey with Rod Willetts umpiring after recently qualifying.
In the main event Roxy Keshavarz was taken to the wire against Jan Gromadzki winning 3-2 in an exciting and high-quality final.
Henry Carver presented the trophies and pointed out that Roxy was the first female to win the Carver Cup since Aly Rogers won it 20 years ago.
Thank you to Matt McFahn, Guy Birkett and all the Squash and Racketball Committee for organising, supporting and delivering a superb event.
