We have a full house at tomorrow’s wonderful celebration of 80 years located here at 53 Newbridge Crescent. We look forward to hosting tennis legend and commentator Frew McMillan and learning some excellent historical facts about our club.
Squash & Racketball
We have been working with England Squash recently to help them develop a new strategy to get more people playing more often following a recent survey indicating a 17% national decline in squash participation. Fortunately for us, we are seeing a slight increase of players on the courts and we will be bringing in some additional ideas over the coming months. Hope to see you at the Squash Mix In tonight and maybe at the Racketball Mix In on Saturday from 11am.
Don’t forget that when the weather conditions are a bit wintery and the indoor courts are full, the artificial clay courts are an ideal surface to play on with good grip and a steady bounce. If you’re at the mix in this Saturday, keep an eye out for our visitor, Frew McMillan, an expert at double handed forehand and backhand. TGI Tennis can start your weekend off well so why not join us at 7pm?
TGI Fitness tonight then Kettlebells in the morning followed by Sunday training with Adam, anyone fit enough to do all three?
A new date for your diary; 7th December we have Tom Welsh delivering a festive acoustic session in the bar from 8pm and the restaurant will be open as usual with our recently updated evening menu.
Lastly, the work to upgrade the ladies toilets and showers is mostly complete with a little fine tuning to do next week. All are operational and thank you for your patience during the unavoidable disruption.
