, Our indoor tennis court lights are over 16 years old, are less efficient and are requiring more and more maintenance plus the levels of light are becoming unacceptable. On behalf of the Tennis and Executive committee I’m very pleased to be able to tell you that we have an exciting opportunity to address this and become the first indoor tennis centre in the Midlands to have LED lights installed. The installation by Luminance Pro, installers of our outdoor floodlights, has been heavily discounted provided the work can be completed in June/July. As you can imagine this short notice does present some challenges but I hope that with good communication from our team and understanding and flexibility from you we will be able to go ahead with minimal disruption to your experience at the club. More details will be available soon but broadly speaking between 20th June and 1st July, courts will be bookable from 5pm each weekday and throughout the weekend however there will be times when lighting will not be available; where this is the case members will get a full refund of their booking fee. From 6:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, courts will be available on a stand and wait basis however they will be released court by court when we are sure the contractors are not working on them. The main benefits of this upgrade includes significantly improved light levels, instant light, no switches due to a motion sensor for each court and slightly reduced electricity usage not to mention the lack of maintenance and reduced glare. If you have any concerns or would like to know more about the benefits to the club of this upgrade then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Keep healthy, play sport and make friends, Marc Hughes Operations Manager
