The 2023 Masters Squash & Racketball Finals Night
Dear 2023 Masters Squash & Racketball Club Championships Competitors
Congratulations to Robin Chipperfield who won a treble of titles at Friday night's Masters finals.
Robin started off defeating Tim Edwards in the Racketball o55s final, he then defeated Chris Bywater in the Squash o55s Final. He finally beat Jason Smith in the Squash o45s Final after Jason had to retire with a very sore hip.
Congratulations also goes to Jason Smith who was competing in 3 finals and won 2 titles. In the first match of the evening, he defeated Aleks Stojanovic in a brilliant, 55min energy sapping Racketball o35s final. Jason then defeated Guy Birkett in the o45s final. His body (hip) gave out against Robin but he gave absolutely everything.
Big shout out to the other champions, Jan Gromadzki who defeated Jane Hatton in the Squash o65s, Steve Pearcey who defeated John Bateman in the Racketball o65s and me Michael Harris [??] who defeated the brilliant Aleks Stojanovic in the Squash o35s.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the championships, to Rod Willetts, Leon Smith, Thomas Hepworth for refereeing many of the finals, and to everyone who came to support all the finalists.
