Dear [[firstname]] ,
This is your club and your views are important to us which is why we would like you be involved in shaping the future direction of our club, please begin by completing the attached survey.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused us all to re-evaluate our personal and work life situations. For some of us there will be permanent changes to the way we conduct our lives going forward.
At the club, we recognise that we may need to change the way we operate both in the short term and the long term in order to meet those revised member expectations. Consequently, we have decided to instigate a programme of consultation with the members, staff and other stakeholders to formulate a strategy that will take the club forward in the post covid-19 period.
I have asked Helen Tottey, who will be familiar to many of you, to co-ordinate and lead the process. Helen has considerable experience in this area and I am pleased to report that she has accepted the task. I also felt that it was important that someone independent of the General Committee and who has been a member for a number of years should be in charge. Helen fits those criteria perfectly.
The consultation process will begin with a short survey, prepared by Helen, which is attached to this email. I would ask all members to please complete the survey as the more responses that we get the clearer the position will become. The deadline for responses is 28th September 2020.
Following on from a review of the survey results we will be holding a series of brain storming sessions in mid-October to which members will be invited. These will be facilitated by Helen and will discuss the key issues identified by the survey. We will hold them at different times of the day and on different days to give as many members as possible an opportunity to attend. Any covid-19 restrictions in place at the time will be taken in to account.
The results of the brain-storming sessions will be consolidated in to a draft strategy by the General Committee in November. We will then send out the draft strategy to members for comment. The draft strategy will then be revised to take in to account feedback from members. A final strategy will then be prepared for presentation and approval by the members at the AGM in January 2021.
Thank you for your time
