Squash and Racketball Update

Dear [[firstname]],

It’s been great to see many of you gradually returning to the squash and racketball courts. In August we had 463 individual court bookings and 101 members playing plus 42 individual lessons.

Our Junior Squash Roadshow was full last Friday with 30 players and we have introduced a weekly Junior Squash Academy every Wednesday at 6pm led by Miles Jenkins. Junior Squash 101 resumes this Sunday at 10am; both can be booked on MyCourts.

England Squash have moved to phase 2 in their return to play plan allowing players to form ‘squash/racketball bubbles’ and play full-court matches, although modifications and additional hygiene measures will be required: Player guidance can be read at https://www.englandsquash.com/back-to-squash/guidance-for-players

To help confirm your bubbles we will be creating Internal Squash and Racketball Leagues of 6 players. If you would like to join the league or already have 6 players with whom you already play sides with then let me or Pete Roberts know by replying to this email. There will also be a sign-up list by the courts shortly.

We have reviewed our Mix In programme and regrettably we are still unable to resume Mix Ins due to the Covid 19 restrictions. However, small group training is permitted; if you are a team or potential team player please get in touch with Darren Lewis or Miles Jenkins as we hope to commence team training every Wednesday evening from 7pm.

Continue to play on the court you’ve booked, keep socially distanced and clean all touch points after you play.

Kind regards,

Marc Hughes
