Club Development Project Update

Hello [[firstname]]

For us to keep our planning permission (expires 31 Mar 20) in place there will be further diggers on site, portacabins and skips. My apologies however this will require the parking bays nearest outdoor Tennis courts 1 and 2 to be dedicated to the workmen. This is the closest area to where we need to excavate and therefore minimises cost and also ensures the work is completed in a timely fashion. Over this time please access outdoor tennis court 1 via the court 2. This work will start week commencing 16 Mar for approximately two weeks.

Further to the AGM (minutes attached), one of the key actions were to ensure that the plans were made available with costings. Some of you may have noticed that in the foyer I have placed the Project boards for our proposed extension. There are two different designs which allows you to see the options of the ground floor. The costing is based on the sqft of the original design (Architect 1) requested at the AGM and include VAT. (copies are available from reception)

In addition to the boards there will be two workshops. The objectives of these sessions are very much to answer questions and to gain your understanding of the next phase that we will need to progress.

Workshop 1 – 23rd March @ 7.00pm.
Workshop 2 – 3rd April @ 5.30pm.
EGM – 4th May @ 7.00pm

We will reflect upon the views and comments expressed by you at the workshops and through other means of communication before sending out an information pack to you ahead of the EGM which will be on 4th May 2020. The EGM will be held to update you on the current position and to seek your approval to go to the next stage which is detailed planning and costing. Once this has been achieved a further EGM will be held at which a fully costed and financed proposal will be put to you for approval. If that proposal is passed, we will then start building.

Thanks
Neil Patel
