Dear [[firstname]],
Thank you to all those members who attended the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 28TH November 2019 and who voted on the proposed resolution to change the club from an unincorporated association to a company limited by guarantee and to adopt the Articles of Association (Articles) circulated to the members.
The content of the Articles was discussed at length and amendments were made to the Articles. Those amendments were recorded in the minutes of the meeting and a copy of the minutes of the meeting has been attached to this email.
The meeting voted unanimously for the resolution, subject to the final copy of the amended Articles being circulated to members and given the final seal of approval at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 20th January 2020. Those articles have now been amended by our solicitors and a copy has been attached to this email. These Articles will be put forward for final approval at the AGM.
We are now in the process of forming the company limited by guarantee and starting the considerable amount of administration work necessary to effect the change in status. Our aim is to have everything completed by 31st March 2020.
