Congratulations and a Padel Update
On behalf of all Club members I extend huge congratulations to Brendon Turner and his team of adventurers who completed the most arduous Lord Bilston Challenge this weekend.
Surprisingly, some of the team were still smiling when they got back to a raucous welcome on Sunday evening.
The Lord Bilston Challenge is a biennial event organised by Brendon to raise money for that most worthy cause, Compton Hospice.
This year they aimed to raise £40,000. They currently stand at £37,700. You can help make up the difference by going to their Just Giving Page

A Padel Update
Construction progress has been good and the groundworks and tarmac layers have been completed. There is still some tidying up to do before the courts arrive and we start assembly followed by artificial grass etc etc.
We have to complete an actual noise survey (as opposed to the virtual one previously submitted) to get final approval from Wolverhampton Planning Office.
I have given the contractors a deadline of 17th August for completion and if they meet it and we get swift council approval it will give members a chance to play before we have our planned Padel Open and Family Fun Weekend on 13t and 14th September.
