Dear [[firstname]],
On behalf of the club and all our sports committees I’m very pleased to be able to let you know of a fantastic event at your club throughout the day on Wednesday 23rd June.
We are organising a day of fundraising for our Special Educational Needs and Junior Development programme across all areas of the club. We start with our usual Spinning class then Ladies Tennis Coaching followed by SEN coaching with Tettenhall Special School, Newbridge Prep School and some Walking Racketball with adults from Rockspur House.
During the day there are lots of opportunities for you to get involved such as “Play the coach” squash or tennis, midday Spinning class with Foggy or you can sign up to our adult, junior and teenager tennis clinics delivered by ex-Davis Cup player and close friend of the club, Danny Sapsford.
If you would like to take part in any of the sporting events, please pop into the shop to sign up and also look on MyCourts from 16th June where you can book directly onto some of the classes. There will be a small charge for each activity but all proceeds will go into to our John Vaughan Development Fund as all staff, coaches and volunteers are giving up their time to support this worthwhile cause.
There will be cake (supplied by our volunteers) and coffee provided throughout the day by The Sassy Coffee Company and the bar will be open with food on offer too. If you would like to join our small squadron of volunteers, then please reply to my email or get in touch with me at the club.
We have also launched an online silent auction with some amazing high value prizes such as Tandem Skydive experiences, Helicopter flight, Club membership for 12 months and a Head rackets package. We are extremely grateful to all of our supporters for their generous donations. You can bid now by clicking on this link https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/specialeducationalneedsjnrdevelopmentfundraiserauction and the winners will be announced at 8:30pm on 23rd June.
We will also be selling raffle tickets throughout the next couple of weeks and will publicise a list of prizes soon. The day culminates with the Men’s Doubles A Draw Semi-finals and the results of the raffle and silent bid auction. It’s also Armed Forces week and the club, coincidently are hosting the Royal Air Force Tennis Champs so as you can imagine, tennis courts will be in limited supply on 23rd June; we ask for your flexibility and patience on this special day.
Kind regards,
Marc Hughes
