Tennis

Steve Chilvers as Chairman of Tennis has reviewed LTA guidelines are in line with new Government guidelines

The latest guidelines from the LTA issued on 10th September state that organised tennis activity for larger groups, including coached sessions, club nights and competitions is permitted by the Government, and so can continue, provided that we continue to follow LTA COVID-19 secure guidelines.

  • Over the past week we have launched of our Autumn programme and will continue to adapt and improve our processes to minimise risk.
  • The guidelines also state that for informal social play, group size is limited to a maximum of six people.

Don’t forget that the good practices put in have enabled us to play since May, now is the time to ensure that we continue to follow them.

  • In accordance with England Squash Guidelines, we will be tracking coaches playing at multiple venues
  • Not to congregate in groups greater than 6

With the new 1 hour booking system coming into Mycourts from 23 September, may I request members to come off courts after 45 minutes play, leave doors open to permit ventilation, clean multitouch points (door handles) but not walls and allow a 15min rest time before the next play.
