Dear [[firstname]],
The weather is looking promising for tomorrow’s Special Educational Needs, Disability and Junior Development Fundraiser. Just to let you know that we kick off the day with Adam’s Spinning class at 7am and finish with Rusty Rackets with me at 7pm whilst our Ladies A Tennis Team play the Albert and our Squash Team plays the Royal Air Force Ladies.
Refreshments will be available all day in the marquee and a BBQ will start at 5pm; thank you to Sassy Coffee for donating the coffee which is available from the Sassy coffee car near the marquee and thank you to all members that have promised cake donations.
We have received lots of excellent raffle prizes so please continue to purchase raffle tickets from the bar and reception or from our volunteers in the marquee.
At 11:20am tomorrow we will be celebrating the amazing recovery of Roy Beddow following his cardiac arrest on court 2 exactly one year ago. Under the marquee we will have an area where you can refresh your CPR knowledge.
We have two stands where you can get information about two military charities, SSAFA https://www.ssafa.org.uk/ and Battleback https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-support/physical-and-mental-wellbeing/recovery-centres/the-battle-back-centre
Two local charities representing the visually impaired are also in attendance from 2pm and Carl Galloway (Club Member) will be continuing his visually impaired tennis coaching on court 1 later.
We have a fastest serve and longest rally challenge on court 1 and 2 and we have been donated a 100 new Slazenger Wimbledon tennis balls which you can purchase for a £1 each.
At 3:30pm the Mayor of Wolverhampton is visiting, and Compton Care will be presenting a cheque from our Aberdovey Bike ride fundraising. Head are bringing their new range of rackets for you to test from 5pm to 7pm and free coaching is available all afternoon, so let’s get those courts busy.
Visitors are very welcome so please don’t hesitate to get involved and book your session on MyCourts or ClubSpark or just turn up if you’re struggling with technology.
I’m especially grateful for all the volunteers, coaches and trainers who have given up their time for this great event; please see the attached poster for the detailed schedule of the day.
Kind regards,
Marc Hughes
