Club update on closure announcement

Hello [[firstname]]

These are unprecedented times and I wish to acknowledge, the collective response, positivity and support the members have shown, this is why we are a great club that supports one another in a time of need.

Further to our notice of closure, the Executive committee have met today to discuss the options and best way to support staff and members. We shall review the impacts daily and further updates we shall communicate to members in due course.

We currently have open and available outdoor tennis courts, and therfore I have attached a Tennis, Squash and fitness guide.

To help maintain the club in the interim, Neil Patel and Dave Pope (House and Grounds) will be on site. All other staff are not physically on site and working but are being paid 100% (Government funding at some stage at 80%) of their salary. Please note there is no access to the club.

Membership

We have agreed a payment holiday for all members. What this means is that for annualised and direct debit members we will add the number of weeks we are closed, to the anniversary of their membership. The reason we have done this is to ensure we support the members and also protect cashflow as we do not know exactly when we will receive government funding for employees and also, we have a risk if everyone cancelled direct debits etc. Therefore, we ask you not to cancel your DD.

Planning permission update

We have been able to secure our planning permission, therefore at any stage in the future if the members decided we could move forward with an extension. With COVID19 we need to review the workshops and EGM, however this is a positive step forward.

We will review all future events however at this point we have postponed these until further notice.

Thanks for your continued support.
