In Loving Memory of David Thomas
Dear [[firstname]]
I hope this email finds you well.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of former member David Thomas.
David was a valued member of the club for over 20 years, from the 1990s through to 2010. Many of you will remember him well from the squash and tennis courts, as well as from the many social events where he was a familiar and friendly face. David was a great supporter of the club and enjoyed being part of the community here.
David’s family have kindly shared the following message:
This time last week, I could never imagine writing this. On Saturday 7th March we lost our amazing Dad. It was sudden and unexpected and I still think he’s going to walk back in through the door. He was the most fantastic husband, Dad and Grandad. He was one very special person and loved by us all. He lived life to the full, always positive and nothing ever phased him. We have all taken strength from the stories of his help and support of so many people. He had been mom’s rock and best friend for nearly 60 years. We are going to miss him so much.
Our sincere condolences go to Jenny (wife), Kirsty and Sadie (daughters) and the wider family at this very difficult time. David will be fondly remembered by many members of the club.
The funeral will be a private family affair.
