Sports Update

Dear [[firstname]],

Last week’s Tennis Awards Night was a great celebration of success for all our adult and junior players and our Staffs league teams also. Tennis Chair, Steve Chilvers read some words of thanks from Roy Beddow and we thanked Alessandra for giving up her time to deliver some CPR awareness training. A massive thank you also to Helen and Stephen Pritchard who have funded the installation of a second defibrillator (AED) which is now installed at the indoor tennis courts - Attached is the message from Roy.

Many congratulations to all our First City Squash Champs finalists, another great evening at the club and a superb return to competitive squash. The Dave Smart Racketball Handicap competition is being drawn today so get ready to support our players as they progress through the competition. This Thursday and Friday we welcome some female military squash players training on courts 1,2,3 and 6 during the daytime.

Membership cards are available for collection from reception so there is no requirement to book your gym session but we ask that you swipe into the gym even if the door is open so we can measure usage. You must continue however to book your spinning or fitness class so we can manage numbers appropriately as we move some of the classes indoors. Spinning classes can now accommodate up to 19 participants but please keep late cancellations to a minimum in order to be fair to other members.

Foggy is entering a WLTSC team for the Winter Wolf Run in November so please let him know if you would like to join the team https://thewolfrun.com/winterwolf/

Lastly, as the autumnal weather arrives don’t forget we have lots of indoor activities like squash/tennis skills and drills, walking racketball, ToTs Tennis and Beginners plus tennis to keep you active and enjoying your membership.

Kind regards,

Marc Hughes
