Women Squash & Racketball Week

Dear [[firstname]]

We're having a great start to the Squash & Racketball season, lots of regular and new members enjoying all our classes, with many enjoying it so much they coming back for more. Squash & Racketball, why not give it a go #GIAG

We have quite a few events happening over the next few weeks for all our members, below are few of these:-

Women’s Squash Week

Women’s Squash (and Racketball) Week is taking place next week, Tuesday 20th September – Monday 25th September. The week will be full of activities to encourage women of all ages to give squash or racketball a go, have fun and make new friends, plus all the sessions are free for every woman who attends. For more information, please see the poster with all the times of the classes.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

As part of the MacMillan Coffee Morning, on Wednesday 28th September 10.15am – 11.45am, Beth Grinsell and I, will be holding a Free Racketball Session. This session is open to all members, and for all abilities, it’ll be a lot of fun and will be a great way for those who maybe new to the game to try a new sport. Once we’ve burnt off loads of calories, we’ll head up to the bar and have a coffee and slice of cake (I’m going to make my famous Lemon Drizzle Cake) and donate a few pounds to help raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. There will also be a prize draw for anyone who joins Beth & I for the Racketball session, with the person being pulled out of the hat, to win a bottle of Prosecco.

Dave Smart Racketball Handicap Tournament

The Dave Smart Racketball Handicap Tournament has started, and I’m delighted to announce we have 48 players competing in this season’s event. I’m also so extremely happy that we have quite a few members competing this year, that are normally found in the gym or on the tennis courts, so you’d watch out regular Racketballers, these players might well be bandits……..!

Just a reminder that all 1st round matches need to be played by 23rd September. The draw for the event can be found on My Courts.

Date for your diary – Final of the Dave Smart Racketball Handicap Tournament – Friday 21st October at 6.30pm.

Half Term Junior Halloween Squash Camp

Last week I spoke about the success of our squash camps, and I’m delighted to announce the date of our October Half Term Halloween Squash Camp is Tuesday 25th – Thursday 27th October, 9.30am – 3.30pm. Please see the poster for more details

Mike Harris

Along with all the groups classes I run at WLTSC, I’m also available for individual squash or racketball sessions. A 45min session is £30.00 or you can book a block of 5 session for £125.00. Please see the poster for more information.

Just a reminder, as a mark of respect, they will be no classes on Monday 19th September, due the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Kindest Regards

Mike Harris
