Club Chairman - Survey Results & Bar Prices

Club Survey

Many thanks to all those members who completed the recent club survey. In total, we had 216 replies which, out of a total membership of approximately 1050, is a good response. As you will see from the attached survey summary sheets, the overall result of the survey was positive, with many members enjoying the club and the club’s facilities. Indeed, the Net Promoter Score was a positive 28. However, there were certain areas of the club highlighted where it was felt that improvements could be made. These areas are listed below, together with the boards agreed actions in response.

Changing Rooms: We will be refurbishing the men’s changing rooms in the summer. This will include a replacement sauna and junior changing facilities.

Bar & Restaurant: We will be improving the appearance of the bar and restaurant area later in the year. We regularly review and update our food and beverage offerings to meet the various requirements of the members. We will continue to respond to member feedback.

Tennis Pavilion: The tennis pavilion will be given a complete makeover this year to make it more functional.

Cleanliness: The comments from members about the cleanliness of the club in certain areas has been noted. We are now instigating more cleaning procedures, including deep cleaning measures, which we believe will solve these problems.

Detailed Responses: Where there has been specific feedback about a particular area of the club we have forwarded those comments to the relevant sub-committee for further discussion and action.
As you can see from the above, the board have taken notice of the results of the survey and are taking action.

Bar Prices

As many of you will have noticed, bar prices at the club have increased recently. This follows a substantial increase in the costs to us from Marstons. The increase in prices to members is based on a 50% gross profit percentage. This rate was agreed at the AGM a few years ago and has been maintained ever since.
