Dear [[firstname]],
Thank you to all club members who were able to attend Roy’s funeral or sent messages of condolence to his family.
His son Ben has been very grateful for the support and compassion shown by the club and its members and has asked me to share the following story and link to help raise funds for Prostate Cancer; please support if you can.
“After successfully beating cancer once, sadly this cruel disease struck again this time settling in my father’s bones and liver.
After a brave fight, and never giving up through 6 weeks of hell, cancer won and my father lost his battle, but not the war.
As a family we would like to strive in helping rid the world of prostate cancer in our own small way and will be donating towards this worthwhile cause.
As my father always had strong feelings about flowers at funerals, where money could be better spent (in his opinion) funding charitable causes, we felt that it was apt to set up this link in his honour:
