Club Development Plans Update

“ Fill The Gap” Project

I am delighted to be able to inform you, that on 30th March 2017, we received formal notification from Wolverhampton City Council that planning permission had been granted for our club development plans.

As I indicated at the Annual General Meeting, these plans are potential developments of the club’s facilities over the next five to ten years. By obtaining planning permission now, we have secured these possibilities for the future.

We have recently had a very positive meeting with the LTA about the “Fill The Gap” project. As a result, we are now in the process of making an application under the “Growing The Game" initiative to secure potential funding for the development. We are also arranging a meeting with Sport England to discuss other funding possibilities. At the same time, we are obtaining budget prices for the various phases of the “Fill The Gap” project to get more details on costs.

Once we have established what funding we have available to us, and have decided what aspects of the project we can afford to do initially, we will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting. We will put forward our recommendations to you at the meeting where you will have the opportunity to discuss, debate and vote on the proposals.

In the meantime, please be assured that nothing will proceed without you, the members, deciding on the course of action to be followed.
