We've been made aware from a couple of you that the club finals night clashes with some mens inter county matches on the same day and that there are challenges with both potentially playing 3 matches in one day and getting to the finals in time for the scheduled start time for this final (approx 5.45/6.00pm).
We have discussed whether there is a possible way to amend the evening or host the finals on another night but due to the finals being the last event of the season for the squash and racketball section and also combining the end of season celebration, it isn't possible to offer alternative options other than possibly delay the start of the Men's A final until 6.15/30pm (and this would still need to be confirmed).
Whilst the club would always want to see the best players in the final, the date of the finals has been widely promoted both well before the event and on the tournament literature.
Everyone in the A event has been copied into this email, if all of you (whether you've played and have won or lost) could please clarify your position with regards to being able to commit to the finals night or not.
Once we know this information we will be better informed regasrding how we manage any potential issue and find a solution to ensure we have a Men's A final and plate final.
As we are short of time, please can you reply by 10am on Sunday Morning as I'm at the club for junior squash and can review responses and will look to progress this and keep you all informed.
Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
