This Friday we have our first ever Squash and Racketball F.A. Cup Finals night. Things will kick off at 6pm and there will be a total of five matches being played. There will be a bbq available from 6:30pm on the patio (Please note that there will be no normal evening menu available in the restaurant). Why not come down and make an evening of it. It promises to be a great event in a friendly open environment.
Friday night is also your opportunity to say goodbye to Andy Hepworth who leaves us to go back to Uni to finish his studies after a year out completing an internship with us. Andy has been an integral part of the team and will be sorely missed. Come and join Andy for a pint or two.
On a different note we are looking for committed players to join our second squash team to play Warwickshire Winter League squash. This is a great way to improve your squash game. The League starts in September and goes on until March. Matches will be on a Monday night at home and away so travel will be required. If you're a good standard and interested please contact me on 07884 133775 or email me at email@example.com.
October 12th is World Squash Day. It seems like a while away but it will soon be upon us. We have an open day at the club which will start at 10am. Please tell your friends and family. Additionally we have applied to run an England Squash Junior Event which is planned for the end of October. More details to follow on this. On top of this we are applying for funding to help develop Junior squash and racketball at the club. If we're successful it will mean new equipment to try and use at the club. Watch this space.
Don't forget that every new member is entitled to a free squash, racketball or walking racketball lesson at a time to suit them. Please contact me on 07884 133775 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up your free session.
Also, if you or your company would like to sponsor our Warwickshire 1st team then please get in touch with our Squash and Racketball Chairman, Neil Patel.
We have been awarded the opportunity to host the Midlands Squash Masters tournament once again, this year’s competition is running from lunchtime on Friday 8th November until Sunday afternoon of the 10th November.
CourtCare are carrying out some annual court maintenance this Monday and Tuesday which includes sanding three of the floors and repairing some areas of the walls across a few of the courts. We frequently receive excellent feedback from members and visitors on the condition of our courts so please continue to wear non marking shoes and avoid adding coloured tape to the frame of the racket.
