, I can’t quite believe its February already, time flies when you’re having fun! It’s been superb to see so many of you making use of the club and keeping up some of those New Year resolutions. Welcome to our new members, I hope you’re finding the club welcoming and an inspiring place to play sport and keep fit and healthy. We have responded to member feedback and you can now purchase MyCourts vouchers in £5, £10 or £20 values to make it a little easier to add credit to your account. You can purchase these in the shop or the bar. Squash & Racketball The vets and seniors tournament matches are getting booked in, tonight sees Roy Cashmore taking on Jonathan Evans at 6pm on court 1. On Wednesday evening, Steve Chilvers takes on Steve Pearcey and Andy Jones takes on Tom Mason. If you can’t get down to watch those matches then try and make Thursday at 6:45pm where you’ll have an array of top matches to view. Thank you to all the ladies that participated in the round robin stage of the ladies handicap last Saturday, a brilliant afternoon of squash. All finals are next Friday 19th Feb. Tennis Tonight is team training from 6:30pm for all current and prospective team players; the weather looks pretty good so why not fine tune your racket skills on courts 3 to 5? We have the junior tennis camps next week, every day from 9am until 3pm, great coaching, lots of fun and suitable for all ages. Please note that the Tennis Club Champs finals date has changed to 18th June. Fitness Body Blitz continues at 6:45am tomorrow in the studio and Ski Fit continues with Brendon every Thursday evening from 7pm. This year Brendon is once again organising a challenge in name of his father, the late Lord Bilston. It’s called the Lord Bilston Big Challenge and is a bi-yearly fundraising effort for Compton Hospice and other cancer support organisations. The maiden event in 2014 was inspired by his father’s fight with liver cancer and the priceless help he received on his end of life journey. The efforts of Brendon’s amazing team were matched by the support and generosity of relatives, friends, members and the general public helping raise over £13,000. Foggy, Reece, Brendon and myself are taking on the challenge this year from Anglesey to Compton Hospice on 23rd July. There are excellent sponsorship and advertising opportunities for this popular and high profile event, if you or someone you know might be interested please get in touch with any of our Energize team. Social Every Wednesday is Detox day in the bar and restaurant, tomorrow have mixed berry porridge to start the day, for the evening meal we have chicken and sweet potato curry. Please book through Allan or the shop on 755382 or 755265, eat in or take away. We are taking bookings for the Energize v everypoint party on 19th March and also the Summer Party on 4th June. Lastly, A while ago we painted some new parking spaces alongside the fence opposite the indoor courts; to ensure cars can enter and exit this area safely it’s imperative that the area in front of the entrance is kept clear as it can cause congestion and frustration for members and visitors. We have a vacancy for a security guard just in case you can recommend anyone. Keep healthy, play sport and make friends, Marc Hughes Operations Manager Join us on Facebook and Twitter @WLTSC
