End of Day 4 - SEMI-FINALS DAY started under the threat of rain, but held off for Henry Trump to beat Ben Ledson-Perry in a close encounter 10-7 in the MTB to reach the U12 final, where he will meet Solomon Shahar who dispatched Hasan Makechumu in straight sets. Jamie Crothers reached the U16 final after some inspired tennis from his opponent Harrison Birch in the second set, he will meet Finley Cook in the final who beat Alex Loumidis. Then the rain finally came, play was suspended outdoors until 2:30 but the matches continued indoors with the U18 where Alex Dmitrewski came out on top against Jake Lawley 7-5 in the second set where the crowd where entertained with some heavy baseline exchanges. Alex will now meet his training partner Taylor Penny in the final where he beat Finley Cook 11-9 in the third. U14 Girls Semi's had some power hitting from all four of them with Elise Dennis beating Adeola Greatorex and Eloise Yates beating Samantha Tsvamuno. As we moved into the evening session the weather didn't decided to let up, this didn't dampen the mood of the crown who were enjoying the Mens Doubles QF's. Penny/Cooper two of the top U18 where taking on the Seniors semi-finalists Hughes/Giddings the score going in the favour of the youth MTB 10-8. In the Semi finals Henderson/Hodgetts beat Parocki/Dmitrewski and Welsh/Lawley beat Cooper/Penny. Well done to all the players/supporters who braved the conditions, the tennis was top class as usual. Doubles finals and Consolation finals will commence on Friday. We had a great atmosphere this evening which was matched with the tennis - please spread the word and come and support the rest of the event. Could we ask all the spectators and players to keep the venue tidy by using the bins provided, thank you. PRESENTATION EVENING WITH BE STRAIGHT AFTER THE LAST FINAL ON SATURDAY Presentation evening on Saturday 27th August - Will commence straight after the last final at 5-6pm.
