Junior Squash Club Competition 2017

Dear Parents

Many of the junior players attending Sunday morning junior squash have asked for a tournament to be run.....so here it is. I asked those who were at squash last Sunday to identify who comes along to junior squash and they complied a list of everyone they thought would be happy to play in this tournament, so sorry if your child doesn't want to play, please let me know. The event is free to enter.

The Squash & Racketball Committee at the club are very keen to include the junior squash players in their end of season event on Saturday 29th April. Therefore the tournament schedule is designed to finish on this date so we can play the finals matches along with the club championships finals for men and ladies.

The event draws are on the junior noticeboard and the details are below. (the my courts system doesn't permit documents to be added so it has to be plain text and the my courts tournament software doesn't permit non members to be added to an event).

I've split the event into A & B events to make getting through the matches easier for everyone and the games more competitive.

A event - Round 1

Reuben Lloyd V Imogen Vickers
Alice Holden V Max Sadler
Alex Sedgley V Emily Vickers
George Holden V Theo Sadler

B Event - Round 1

Connor Walton V Nathan Adams
Darcey Foxall V Larissa Oakley
Zara Lloyd V Will Payne
Lily Davies V Sofia Agarwal

Ideally it would be good if you could look to get the first round matches played by 16th April, 2nd round by 21 April and semi finals by 27 April with the finals being ON 29th April.

All contact details for the players can be found on My Courts. in all cases the parent is a member, even if the junior isn't. in these cases, if your child attends junior squash as a non member can you please make contact with their opponent as it will be difficult to identify who is a parent of a non member junior player.

Ideally matches will be played by you contacting each other, booking an agreeable court and playing the match. The winner then needs to write up the result on the draw sheet and make contact with their next opponent ASAP to get the next round played. where matches have not been played we will aim to complete these at Junior Squash club on Sunday 23 April. So please can you be at junior squash for this.

Matches are point a rally to 11. At 10-10 it is to two clear points. Best of 5 games. (normal rules).

Also, a reminder, No junior Squash on Easter Sunday.

Thanks

Matt
