The snow has cleared and we have our courts back, its been great to see them busy this week.

Last weekend our men's national premier league team secured a play off spot, with a great win away at Carisbrooke. The play offs take place this weekend away at David LLoyd, Norwich. 12 clubs across the country have made the play offs, where they will be sending one pair to fight for 4 places in the national finals in May. Fin Cook and Tom Welsh will be representing our club this weekend. Best of luck guys.

Entry is open for the junior club championships. All members are encouraged to enter this event, we have different draws for all standards of player so it's a great way to get some competition at the club. There are singles and doubles events for all ages, so please go into reception to enter or you can enter through the mycourts tournaments tab. The tournament begins March 14th and will run until April 21st. Players arrange their own matches to suit themselves, any enquiries please get in touch on 07966315211.

We are launching some internal junior doubles leagues after Easter, these leagues are aimed at players of all abilities between the ages 10 and 17. The leagues are a fun way of getting some match experience, especially leading into the summer term when players will be representing clubs and schools. It's free to enter, so just add your names to the registration sheet in the pavilion.

Friday March 23rd we have a great night at the club planned.

5:15pm - 7:00pm we have a junior club night, these events are great social junior events for players aged 10 to 16. They are run by the coaching team, who arrange doubles matches and fun games followed by a meal in the restaurant.

6:30pm - 8:00pm we have the adult club night, again organised by the coaching team, doubles games on the inside and outside courts playing with a mixture of players for the evening followed by a meal in the restaurant.

Throughout the evening we have our Head tennis rep delivering a demo night, where players attending the club night will be able to try out a variety of the new range of rackets.

Please sign up for the club nights at reception early as these events always fill up fast.

Thursday March 29th is the first points and pies night, this event is for men's team players who want some doubles practice on the outdoor courts. We will play doubles from 7pm - 8:30pm followed by a lovely pie & mash upstairs in the restaurant. Please sign up in reception to ensure you're booked on this great night.

April 9th - 13th we have a week long junior tennis camp at the club for juniors of all abilities aged between 4 and 16. The camp is run by our fully qualified and professional coaching team, who deliver quality coaching in a fun environment, enabling players to improve very quickly and make new friends. Players can sign up for the whole week, a half day, a full day, but the camps do fill up quickly so I would encourage any players wanting to take part to sign up early in reception. The camps are open to non members so please tell your friends.

April 21st is our annual junior presentation evening where we will be celebrating the success, improvements, achievements and teamwork of our junior section. We have over 20 categories where the coaching team nominate players for an award. This is a highlight of our club calendar and would encourage all junior players and parents to come a long to the evening. Please get your tickets at reception early.

Any questions regarding any of the above events, please get in touch on 07966315211,

Warm regards,

Paul Hodgetts
Rackets Manager
