Firstly thank you again to Howard Wright Financial Planning for once again sponsoring what is the highlight of the tennis calendar, and thank you, the members, for supporting this years event.
We've had an amazing 212 entrants across all the events, which has got to be one the biggest club champs entries ever. The tennis committee have done a fantastic job of planning this years event to make it special and encouraging so many of you to play in 2018.
Almost all the draws are visible online now and will be pinned up in the pavilion also, if you have any questions or queries about the draws please get in touch. The draws that aren't visible online yet, will be by tomorrow morning.
Could I ask that all entrants start to make contact with their opponents today or tomorrow so first round matches can be played by the deadlines, this allows us to get the plate draws done for first match losers and relieves court congestion towards the end of the event. Matches are best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set being a championship tie break to 10 points.
In some of the B draws, when you reach a certain stage in the event (Quarters/Semi's) you will qualify into the A draw. Please continue to play the rest of the B draw competition whilst arranging your 1st match in the A draw. Unfortunately the mycourts tournamnet system doesn't allow me to show qualifiers online so this will be indicated on the draws in the pavilion.
Final's weekend is always a special weekend, this year it will take place on the 29th/3oth June. This year again we have the popular "Charlie's Burger Van" down at the courts for Mixed Doubles Finals Night on the 29th June, and on Finals Night on the 30th June we have Clayton Edge DJing for the night to finish off a top day. If you are not able to play on the finals days then please don't complete semi final matches as it's important that we representatives in all finals.
Thank you again for such a great entry, enjoy playing your matches and good luck,
