It’s been a superb week at the club with Wednesday daytime especially standing out. We hosted the National Schools Squash Champs, coached 30 children from Newbridge Prep School and delivered our first Wolverhampton University Tennis session. A great example of encouraging and inspiring the next generation of sports people at a time when the club is generally quiet.
The upgrade to the ladies toilets and shower area has so far gone to plan thanks to the excellent work and planning by Andy Hayward and the committee. The old toilets have been removed, a new wall installed and a new doorway fitted from the shower area to a new toilet. From today there will only be four showers in operation as we begin the upgrade of the showers on the right hand side.
We had a practice fire evacuation yesterday, please remember to leave the club by your nearest fire exit and meet at the trees near tennis court 1 until a member of staff instructs you that it’s safe to return to the club building.
Please be aware that there will be no running club this Sunday due to the Rat Run in Nottingham and on 14th due to the Pattingham Bells Run.
