We have had another inspirational week at the club so thank you to all staff, members and volunteers that have helped. Today we have been recognised by England Squash as “Club of the Month” in recognition of our “Sunday Boast” initiative and work towards increasing squash participation.
Squash & Racketball
Next week we are hosting the RAF Squash and Racketball Champs, they have 4 courts during the daytime so please continue to book your court to avoid disappointment. The bar and restaurant is open all day from Tuesday to Friday to help keep everyone fed and watered. The RAF main finals are on Friday from 10:30am to 12:30pm so please come and watch and support our troops if you can.
On Friday evening (25th) are also our Flint and Partners Age Group Squash Finals.
Sunday Boast continues again this Sunday from 10am, the sessions is ideal for parents that would like to get on court with their son/daughter or just want to get a little more active. The session is free for members, but non-members are welcome for a small charge.
Congratulations to Chris Dawson on completing his Level 3 England Squash Coaching qualification, please give him a call on 07884 133775 to book a lesson.
We have TGI Tennis on tonight and don’t forget all meals are £5 every Thursday and Friday in the restaurant.
Page 51 of tonight’s Express and Star is a superb example of how this club is so welcoming to our juniors and offers great opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our Head Rackets shop is proving very popular and we have just received a full size range of the new Junior Head Speed racket and don’t forget we will always match any internet prices plus you are helping to support your club shop.
Many congratulations to our Detox Team, all have done superbly well and have a session tonight and the last one in the morning followed by their end of week assessment up in the conservatory. They’ve been an inspirational group who have certainly been very motivated to complete the programme and for some maybe even changing their lives for the ever.
We have a vacancy in the bar of up to 16 hours of predominantly evening work, an experienced bar person is ideal but please pass the word if you know anyone suitable.
I hope you can make our AGM this Monday at 8:15pm, we have lots to celebrate and you will also get a copy of this year’s Club Brochure; thank you to our advertisers, the Studio Group and Paul Berry for putting this together.
