Club News

Dear [[firstname]],

We are all gearing up for a busy weekend at the club culminating in our Open Day on Monday, if you have friends or family that may be thinking of joining then please bring them along from 9:30am to midday to have ago at all the club has to offer.

Squash & Racketball
The FA Cup competition has now been launched, please try and play your match and let the team know the result by updating the paper draw near the courts.
Im very pleased to announce that we have once again been successful in our application to host the Midlands Masters Squash event taking place at the club from 8th to 10th November; an excellent warm up to the Carver Cup competition running for a 50th year.
Chris Dawson has organised a new Walking Racketball session for those looking to get back into some racket sports, the first session is this morning at 10:15am.

Tennis
Apologies but we overlooked a result from last weeks Vintage Tennis Tournament; winner of the Ladies Plate Singles was Cathy Grinsell after a final set champs tie break and the Ladies Doubles winners were Gerry Davies and Cathy Grinsell.

Fitness
Our Energize Walk for Fun is looking very full so if you are thinking of joining us on Sunday morning please let Foggy know soonest as he needs to confirm numbers for the pub lunch.

Social
Our Bar and Catering Manager, Gilly will be on sick leave for a while and we all wish her a speedy recovery. We are able to continue with our normal opening hours however due to the very low bar sales on a Sunday evening the General Committee have decided to close the bar for the foreseeable future. Therefore, this weekend will be the last time the bar is open from 4pm to 8:30pm however our very busy Sunday mornings continue from 10am to 1pm. Following some member feedback, we will be refreshing and updating our evening menu to help continue the growth in catering sales.

Lastly, you may have noticed a few new screens being fitted at key points around the club. This is a new initiative to help us communicate better with our members and visitors and to generate revenue for the club. The screens will be silent and will include some club posters and local business adverts; more details will be available soon.
We have an office available for lease on our second floor, please get in touch if of interest.

Keep healthy, play sport and make friends,
Marc Hughes
