I hope many of you can find the time to watch the Wimbledon Semi Finals today and especially the iconic match between Rafa and Roger, two great role modals and legends of the sport.
We have a busy few days ahead with our usual TGI Fitness, Tennis and Squash this evening and tomorrow kicks off with our regular 10am fitness session in the back gym followed by our weekly racketball mix in from 11am ably led by Helen.
Our junior girls Road to Wimbledon tournament will be on the grass courts from 12:30am and our Tennis Mix In starts at the same time as the Wimbledon Ladies finals at 2pm which will be on the television in the lounge.
On Sunday we have Adamís fitness class at 9:30am and Amber is organising a Wimbledon Mix In at midday to 1:30am with Pimms and strawberries available in the bar afterwards to prepare you for the Wimbledon Menís Final at 2pm.
Our Sunday Boast continues throughout the holiday period and is a great opportunity for parents to bring their children to the courts to experience squash or racketball with guidance from our Head of Squash and Racketball and our excellent volunteers.
We also have the menís and ladies Royal Air Force tennis teams here for the week from Sunday preparing for their Inter Service competition at Wimbledon in August. They are hiring the facilities during the day; the 12 players are keen to meet members and join in with the Club Night next Wednesday. Also, if any parents have children that would like to discuss life in the RAF then please bring them down for a chat with the players.
Lastly, for those of you that would like more information about the EGM proposal to become a company limited by guarantee, our Chairman invites you to a consultation evening in the back restaurant at 7:30pm on Wednesday 24th July.
